There are numerous screenshot capturing and sharing solutions out there, yet Beem takes another stab at the task and aims to provide a user-friendly, fast, and efficient service.

Beem enables you to capture the image, almost instantly uploads the file to the cloud, and then places the direct link on your clipboard. To further process the files, you need to access the Beem web console.

To start using the Beem application, you must register for a Beem account, which can be done free of charge. The account comes with a web dashboard where you can see all uploaded images and make simple text or graphic annotations.

Note that the Beem cloud account does not have a limit when it comes to the storage space, but you get to upload only 25 images per day. Moreover, at the moment, all the uploaded images have a public status, which means that anyone that has the URL can view the image.

To bypass the Beem account registration procedure, you can simply log in with your Google account. Naturally, you can deauthorize the Beem app at any time via the Google account’s Settings area.

The Beem application resides in your status bar, and you can use the associated menu to select the capture tool you want to employ, or simply use the default keyboard shortcuts that are available system-wide.

The drawback is that you cannot change these hotkeys to match your own setup. In fact, Beem does not come with any customization option.

To conclude, Beem provides a straightforward solution for capturing and sharing screenshots, yet it lacks any tweaking options. For example, the possibility to see all previous uploads for the day, together with a small thumbnail on mouseover, would eliminate the need to navigate to the web console, saving you both time and resources.
