Timer For Mac

Timer is a small but versatile Mac OS X app that proposes an alternative solution for viewing the current date and time on top of your desktop, and also integrates countdown and stopwatch capabilities.

The Timer application offers you the possibility to open multiple windows at the same time, each one having different functions: you can setup alarms, countdown timers or start stopwatches. Moreover, you can choose to see the current date and time, in a small window, or in full screen mode.

Due to the well organizer, tabbed user interface, finding your way around the Timer application is quite simple: perform the necessary adjustments and then make sure to save each different window before quitting the app. This way, you can use the same settings at a later time, or preserve the data recorded in the stopwatch panel.

Within the Timer Stopwatch panel you can easily start or reset timers, or split the counters by laps: this way you will have a detailed view about a specific performance. You can save this data in a .timer file, but you cannot export it to other file formats.

At the same time, you can setup timers that have audio alerts attached, or you can define an alarm for a specific time of the day: keep in mind that the document must be open for the counters to work.

Timer is a simple utility that offers you the possibility to place a clock on your desktop, to define alarms, or to record time performances by lap. Since the app is document based, you must make sure that the source .timer file has been opened, especially when dealing with repetitive alarms.
