Air Printer For Mac

The AirPrint Apple technology offers you the possibility to quickly print documents directly from your iOS device without having to install additional software. All you need is an AirPrint printer and a Wi-Fi network to which both devices are connected.   The Air Printer OS X application takes things further by allowing you to use any printer connected to your network, regardless if it integrates the AirPrint technology or not.

Upon launch, Air Printer automatically starts a server that enables you to share the printers connected to your LAN with your iPhone or iPad. The utility detects the available devices on its own, but you can easily give them a new name.

Before sending the content to the printer, Air Printer save the data locally in a PDF document. In the Air Printer Advanced Settings panel, you can change the default port number used by the device, and the default output folder for the PDF files.

Within the Air Printer main window, you can see a list of all active printing jobs, together with their status. The tasks can be managed via the OS X printer manager, but you can also see their state in the Air Printer application.

Noteworthy is that, if you remove a printing job from the Air Printer application, the task will remain active. To cancel it you must go to the System Preferences Printer Print Queue tool. The same rule applies if you want to change the default paper size.

Air Printer is an excellent tool to have around if you want to print documents from your iPhone or iPad, but you don’t have a printer that integrates the Apple AirPrint technology.

The utility creates a virtual printer server and allows you to work with any printer connected to your network, without making you deal with complex configuration tasks.
