Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool is a minimalist macOS application that is able to find and remove records left behind by pre-release Adobe Creative Suite applications.

Upon launch, the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool scans your system in order to detect installation records left behind by prerelease Adobe applications. The app allows you to quickly delete all installations, or only the selected ones, but also includes sorting options.

Via a simple drop down menu, you can easily choose to view all identified Adobe installations, or only items related to Adobe ID Credentials, CS3, CS4, CS5-CS5.5, CS5-CS5.5-CS6, CS6 only, Creative Cloud only, and so on.

Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool is designed to remove only prerelease records, and should not have any impact on previous Creative Suite or Creative Cloud installations. Note that you must first remove the apps by running the product’s uninstaller, and then run Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to delete the records that have been left behind.

However, to make sure you will not loose any data, you should start by backing up custom plug-ins or profiles, and the items stored in the Adobe product directories.

After you mount the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool volume, you can run the “sudo [Path to Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.app]/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool ‐‐removeAll= CREATIVECLOUDCS6PRODUCTS” command in the Terminal app, and quickly remove the records in silent mode.

Last but not least, you can verify if the procedure went as planned by opening the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.log file placed in your User’s directory: if the document does not present any failures, the process was successful.
