Use the same Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to wirelessly control up to six different smart devices by using this easy to setup utility. #Control client device #Bluetooth keyboard #Bluetooth mouse #Control #Bluetooth #Keyboard
Working on multiple devices while using the same keyboard and mouse considerably improves your user experience, especially if you can do it wirelessly. Across offers you the possibility to control up to 6 different client devices, regardless if they are desktop computers or mobile gadgets, by using the Bluetooth controller.
To simplify the installation procedure, Across comes with an installer that takes care of everything and also deploys an uninstaller app that will completely remove Across from your system.
The next step is to decide if you want to use it as a server or as a client. Note that you need at least one device acting as a server. The client devices will detect the Across server as a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo, and you need to use the Bluetooth controller to pair them.
In the Across Center, you get to pair your server with multiple devices and to create a custom device layout. Note that Across comes with companion apps for Windows and Android.
However, any Bluetooth enabled device can be controlled using the server’s mouse and keyboard, even if the client is not installed. The difference is that drag and drop and the text transfer between devices are not supported.
Within the Across Center main window, you can see the list of paired devices and assign them new names or icons to make them easier to recognize via the device settings panel. The same area offers you the possibility to toggle the mouse dragging and text synchronization between the server and client device.
Other customization options include the possibility to change the mouse mode (relative coordinate mouse, absolute coordinate mouse, or absolute coordinate touch device), the mouse pointer speed, or the screen resolution.
To sum up, Across offers you the option to use the Bluetooth controller integrated with your Mac to connect with other Bluetooth enabled devices and use the same mouse and keyboard to control them.
Across is relatively easy to set up, and everything goes on quite smoothly once you realize you need to switch to server mode on at least one desktop computer (by default, Across launches in client mode).
