A small Mac OS X status bar menu that allows you to place portals inspired by the popular Aperture Science game right on your desktop.
The small ASPPPPP status bar menu app for the Mac OS X enables you to create Portal styled windows to quickly transport you cursor between two desktop areas.
When you launch the application, your cursor will automatically transform into the portal gun and you must create the two windows: click the left button for the blue portal and the right one for the orange counterpart. At this point, the cursor will go back to its normal status and you can use the two portals to move the pointer around the screen faster.
However, if you are not satisfied with the initial set up you can close the portals via the ASPPPPP status bar menu and start over. At the same time, you can hold down the Command key to render the portals inactive and use drag and drop actions to move them to another location.
Noteworthy is that ASPPPPP also includes the portals audio effects, both for when you create the portals and for when you move the cursor through them. The same status bar menu allows you to mute the sound effects when necessary.
Other customization options include the possibility to adjust the portals size: small, medium or large. Moreover, from the ASPPPPP Preferences window, you can toggle the textual and vocal guidance system or choose to restore the portals at launch.
All in all, if you are a Portal games enthusiast, you will certainly enjoy using the ASPPPPP app to move your cursor around the desktop, especially if you are working on a large screen.
