ACDSee For Mac

ACDSee is a practical and intuitive Mac OS X application that enables you to take control of your photo library and organize your collection.

From ACDSee’s main window you can browse your photo directories and quickly import images from other volumes, shared disks or digital cameras to the desired location. You can also access and manage pictures stored on your hard drive as well as network drives.

What is more, ACDSee helps you preview all sorts of image formats from JPEG to RAW photos along with the EXIF metadata. Consequently, you can edit the EXIF metadata, create custom categories and assign ratings.

The right side panel helps you add or remove categories, filter the displayed items based on their type or rating. At the same time, the bottom toolbar allows you to sort your pictures by name, size, type, date, rating or a custom criteria.

Thanks to ACDSee, you can browse through your shots, zoom in or out and display them in slide shows. Moreover, you can login with your ACDsee account and upload photos into the cloud. You can keep your pictures private or public and share them with your friends, family or co-workers via Facebook or Twitter.

Unfortunately, ACDSee does not seem to run properly on the latest Mac OS X version. Although the application starts and allows you to browse the content of your folders, the app is no longer capable to display images of any kind.

ACDSee failed to upload pictures to our ACDSee Online account and it was not able to start a slideshow with the selected image files. Also, ACDSee seems to lack a home page or support from the developers.

In conclusion, ACDSee is an outdated image viewer and organizer that desperately needs an update and the addition of new features.
