Easy to install software solution for using a task bar on your Mac
The first time you run uBar, the application launches a Setup Assistant that provides quick access to the Accessibility and Dock panels within the System Preferences window.
uBar needs to have access to the Accessibility function that comes built in the system, but you do not necessarily have to hide or move the Dock: you can extend the task bar so that both tools will be present in the bottom area of your screen without interfering with one another.
Effortlessly access any of the windows opened on your desktop
Within the uBar user interface you are able to visualize all the apps that have open windows on your desktop, but also how many windows belong to the same app. If you click on an app that has a single window, that specific panel will be brought forward. If there are multiple windows opened, uBar will show them in list mode and you will be able to choose the one you want to access.
The uBar panel also includes an icon that enables you to switch to the desktop, and a small menu that you can use to access certain disk locations: the Applications, Documents, Downloads or Movies folders, and so on. The same area allows you to launch the Terminal or the Activity Monitor apps, but also certain system specific functions (Sleep, Restart, or Shut Down).
Customizable task bar app that can streamline your windows management workflow
uBar is a great tool to have around if you are accustomed to see all your open windows in a task bar placed in the bottom area of your screen: you will be able to see how many different windows are open for each application, and quickly choose the one you want to access. The tool is great if you just switched to Mac computers and you have trouble finding your way around.
