    trim4lion description

    Helps you enable TRIM for 3rd party SSD drives with a click of a button

    trim4lion is a free and simple to use AppleScript-based little app that will allow you to enable TRIM for 3rd party SSDs under Mac OS X Lion.

    trim4lion has been created because Apple is preventing TRIM from working on non-Apple SSD drives.

    However, trim4lion solves this by patching one Kext file so that you can easily enable this for almost all SSDs.

    NOTE:     trim4lion automatically makes a backup of the changed system file so you'll always have something to fall back on.
