    sbak is a free and open source program that utilizes common Unix utilities to provide a simple backup solution.

    Like Apple's Time Machine, sbak uses hard-links to minimize disk usage. Reduces data transfer by using compressed rsync transfers. Web interface and subscription service coming soon.
