iAvro For Mac

iAvro is a custom keyboard layout that offers you the possibility to effortlessly input phonetic Bangla text. The app also integrates a dictionary that offers autocorrect suggestions, and enables you to instantly preview the output.

For your convenience, iAvro comes with an installer package that places the iAvro Keyboard app in the Input Methods folder contained in the Library directory. At the same time, the software archive includes an installation guide that shows in detail how you can activate and enable the iAvro keyboard.

You can either choose to use the Input Sources menu from the status bar to quickly switch between different layouts, or you can define a keyboard shortcut. Moreover, if you activate the “Automatically switch to a document’s input source” the modification will be performed automatically.

iAvro is 100% compatible with the Avro Phonetic scheme which means that you will have the same experience across all platforms: Mac, Linux and Windows. Since iAvro is an open source project, you can use the app on all your devices.

To improve your typing experience, iAvro also includes a dictionary that suggests the correct spelling for phonetically similar words. The iAvro app allows you to preview the suggestions in a separate window. The best part is that you can either change their position to match your own workflow, or disable them altogether.
