RestoreMeNot is a very easy to use application that gives you the possibility to quickly disable that window restoration feature for certain applications.
RestoreMeNot allows you to manually chose the applications for which you want to disable the function. Simply remove the app from the system preferences pane list to get things to normal.
The window restoration feature of Mac OS X Lion is one of the coolest features of Apple's new OS. Sometimes however, one might not want the windows of a certain application to be restored when launching it.
