QFS (Quantcast File System) is a free and open-source distributed file system which works on multiple platforms.
QFS was designed to support MapReduce processing and other tools which sequentially read and write large files.
QFS is cross-platform and can be compiled on Mac OS, Linux variants and Cygwn.
