Useful and easy to use tool designed to allow you to view the writing and reading speed of any of the drives installed on your Mac. #Test writing speed #Test reading speed #Reading speed tester #Tester #Tester #Writing
Organized computer users want to keep track with the state of their current equipment. Parkdale is a tool that will help them view the reading and writing speed for hard disks, CD-Roms, and other types of similar devices.
Parkdale can even be used to monitor network servers in multiple modes, from different to advanced. The speed that you can perform after starting the application will allow you to view the sequential read and write access speed as well as the random access speed by using 4 KB blocks, but also 32 different and concurrent treads.
You can compare and submit benchmark results in the Benchmark page. What's more, the test data is written to a normal file, with the help of the filesystem, so you can be sure that you'll get the best speed.
If needed, users can choose to block access to certain sectors without having to use the filesystem. This is a feature that I greatly recommend to professional users.
Parkdale is very easy to use, and provides you with quite a good way to keep track of reading and writing speeds for your devices. It's available free of charge, so you'll surely want to give it a try in order to see if you like it.
