The Spotlight search engine is integrated in the macOS by default, and can prove to be extremely efficient when you need to find information locally or online. Flashlight is a plug-in system for Spotlight that will extend its functionality even further.

Upon launch, Flashlight offers you the possibility to browse the collection of Spotlight plug-ins that come integrated by default: each one comes with a small description. If you want to actually use any of them, simply press the associated “Install” button.
