DiscEject For Mac

DiscEject is an unsophisticated Mac OS X application that will prove to be extremely useful whenever you have a CD or a DVD stuck in your reader: once you run the app, the disc will be physically ejected in a matter of seconds.

The DiscEject archives includes multiple applications, and you must choose the one that you need depending on the type of disc drive you are employing, external or internal. Note that DiscEject also comes in two flavors: standard and advanced.

To use DiscEject all you have to do is launch the app and the utility takes care of the rest. Try using the standard version first, but if it does not work, the advanced version is ready to apply different ejecting methods to fix the issue. Note that the advanced version requires you unplug all other USB, Thunderbolt, and FireWire disks.

DiscEject proposes a simple solution for quickly ejecting CDs or DVDs: to get the process started, all you have to do is launch the app. No further user interaction is required: the app will close on its own, and the disc is physically ejected.

When dealing with very serious issues, the DiscEject Advanced version provides access to more complex disc ejecting methods, but the user involvement is also kept to a minimum. DiscEject is a great addition to your software collection, regardless if you are using internal or external disc drives.
