CIRCL ALOD (automatic launch object detection) is free OS X utility that uses Automatic Folder Actions to monitor the addition of new launch objects to standard locations.

If a new object is placed in one of the monitored directories, a pop-up window will appear, informing you about the change. You then have to decide if the change is legitimate or not.
