Password manager that encrypts you data locally and then employs the zero-knowledge Crypton framework to safely store it in the cloud. #Pawword manager #Encrypt password #Cloud password storage #Password #Manager #Organizer
A secure password management solution has become more and more an imperative requirement given the number of credentials one employs to access various services on a daily basis.
Based on the zero-knowledge Crypton framework, Encryptr can encrypt the data locally and then send the information to the cloud in order to make it available on all connected devices.
To get started, you must register for an account and set up a passphrase that will be used to encrypt your data. The service does not use email addresses, which means that the account is completely anonymous.
Noteworthy is that, since Encryptr is using the Crypton framework, all the information is encrypted locally, and the passphrase is not sent to the server. This means that, if you forget it, there is no way to regain access to the account, or to reset the passphrase.
Encryptr comes with three input templates: Credit Card, General, and Password. The notes area associated with each entry can hold a significant amount of text content, so you should be able to input the information you need.
The application also includes a simple search tool but keep in mind that you can perform queries only based on the associated labels: Encryptr will not search the entries content. Once you found the information you need, a simple double-click in the field area copies the data to your clipboard.
The Crypton JavaScript framework has been specially created to allow developers to build applications that keep the user data protected at all times.
Encryptr uses the framework to ensure your passwords and other credentials are stored and transferred to other devices in a secure manner: both the data and the passphrase are encrypted locally, before being uploaded to the cloud.
