Fireplace Live HD+ For Mac

Starting up a fire in your fireplace can be slightly challenging, especially if you do not have a fireplace. Fireplace Live HD is a small status bar menu application that offers you the possibility to enjoy 8 different types of fireplaces from the comfort of your own Mac.

The application comes with a collection of 8 high quality videos that have different settings but provide the same realistic experience. What’s more, it includes real life sound effects, and you get to easily adjust the volume level.

The  status bar menu includes basic options: you can start the screensaver or access the Preferences window. The second is quite important because it provides all the customization options.

First of all, you must choose the video you want to use: relaxing fireplace, classic, vivid, burning log, elegant, romantic scene, old or romantic dinner. Check the “Play Fireplace Sound” box if you want to, and then navigate to the Screensaver panel.

Although you cannot view Fireplace Live HD listed in the screensavers list within the System Preferences, you can use the app as you screensaver. However, you must specify when should the video be launched if it is not activated manually.

If you have enabled the “Require password after sleep/screensaver” option in the Security panel of the System Preferences window, Fireplace Live HD will also ask for the password when you come back.

The app also offers you the possibility to display a clock on top of the fireplace window. The app includes 3 clock designs, and you can choose the one that suits you best.
