Coral Reef Aquarium For Mac

Coral Reef Aquarium is an aquarium application and screensaver for the Mac OS X platform featuring beautiful oceanic landscapes of colorful coral reefs. It features the ability to automatically start at given intervals and to work as a screensaver.

The application includes realistic footage of real life coral reef aquariums that are displayed in full-screen mode on your desktop. Keep in mind that windowed mode is not possible and, unfortunately, the video is not crystal clear on large screens.

As mentioned, Coral Reef Aquarium includes a function, called Aquarium Break, that automatically opens the aquarium at user-defined intervals. This can be configured from the Settings window where you can change the break frequency in minutes and the duration of the break also in minutes.

You can enable Coral Reef Aquarium to act as a screensaver from the Settings window, as well. The procedure is simple - just enable the screensaver mode, enter the inactivity trigger in minutes and choose whether or not to hide the aquarium on mouse movement.

Although the video resolution is not fantastic, the diverse aquariums and lush coral reefs are a pleasure to look at. If you enjoy coral reefs and are not bothered by the low-resolution clips, this app might be for you.

All things considered, Coral Reef Aquarium is an aquarium app for OS X that does not bring anything new to the table. The video quality has room for improvement, but the depicted scenarios are mesmerizing.
