Easy to install OpenVPN client that includes a simple connections manager
At launch, Viscosity automatically adds a menu to your status bar which enables you to quickly access the Preferences and setup your VPN connections. The same menu displays information about your connection status, and allows you to switch between different servers.
Note that the application must be copied to your disk to run properly. Viscosity automatically detects if you are trying to launch the app from the image disk and offers to copy the utility to the Applications directory on its own.
Comes with an intuitive interface that enables you to quickly create multiple VPN connections
In the Viscosity Preferences window you get to easily setup your own list of preferred VPN connections. The entire procedure is extremely user friendly since all the adjustments can be performed via a clean new window where all the settings are organized into various tabs.
Here you must provide details about the remote server, the connection port, the protocol that should be employed, supply security certificates, choose to connect through a proxy, and more.
Last but not least, Viscosity also enables you to personalize the overall experience by switching to one of the other menu icons designs, or by choosing to see the IP address in the menu. In addition, you can decide to have connections automatically enabled or disabled if certain rules apply.
User friendly and unobtrusive OpenVPN client that allows you to switch between various connections in no time
Viscosity is a great tool to have around if you want to protect your real identity by directing your internet traffic through a secure VPN. The app comes with an organized user interface and a streamlined workflow, which makes the entire experience as natural as possible.
