RS-Series switchers use RS232 protocol for control. If your computer does not have a built-in serial port then an adapter (such as Keyspan USB PDA adapter) is needed.
When purchasing an adapter, make sure it supports RS232 (rather than RS422 protocol) and has drivers available for the version of the operating system you are using.See the user manual for further instructions.
Requirements:
· KNOX RS-Series routing switcher
· Serial port or serial port adapter
· Routing switchers: RS4x4HB, RS8x8HB, RS16x16HB
Limitations:
· The demo version will auto-close the session after 20 minutes. A nag screen will display a link to the application site.
