    PrinterSetup description

Open-Source CUPS printing set up for system administrators

Printer setup is a printer management system designed for use in conjunction with RADmind.

Although Radmind is not essential for Printer Setup to operate, it is highly recommended, particularly when you pushing out (actually pulling if you understand RADmind) printer configuration changes.

This task can also be performed manually or with tools such as SSH or Apple Remote Desktop, however the process is by no means as manageable.

Designed to simplify the management of printers, Printer Setup is perfect for a small to medium sized network.

It has been designed with the goal of keeping printer deployment feasible as the network grows in size you add more printers to the network, or as many system administrators who are not not already using printer setup dread a printer being moved from one place to another.

Possibly on a remote site, which you also manage.

    · Added another bundled example pre-printer-setup-script which will remove queues which contain a string within their CUPS queue name and which also point to a specific device.
    · This example script makes it easier to make additional changes to the script and narrow down on the queues they wish to remove. This script is very similar to the example script which removes queues pointing at a specific device.
