Network Strength for Mac
Keeping an eye on your WiFi network is a must if you need to know the quality of your Internet connection at all times. Network Strength is an inconspicuous OS X application designed specifically to help you monitor your wireless network’s signal strength.
Simple and straightforward way to monitor your wireless connection
Once launched, Network Strength will automatically add its own menu bar item that enables you to get a quick overview of your WiFi connection’s state.
Moreover, when clicking the Network Strength menulet, you can see the signal strength and noise level as a percentage, as well as your Mac’s public and local IP addresses and the MAC address, neatly displayed as an easily readable list.
Automatic launch at login and status bar connection strength percentage icon
Network Strength automatically displays the strength of your WiFi connection as a percentage in your Mac’s menu bar, with a higher value representing a better quality connection.
Furthermore, Network Strength makes it possible to view the connection's noise percentage, a number that represents the exact amount of noise interfering with your WiFi connection (in this case a lower value is better).
Inconspicuous and user-friendly tool for monitoring your WiFi's status
From Network Strength’s Preferences window, you can set it to launch automatically at login and to show the preferences window when starting up.
Additionally, this window will also enable you to adjust Network Strength’s Privacy options. Thus, you can choose what information will be displayed in the status bar menu, toggling each of the entries enumerated above (i.e., signal strength, network noise, local and public IP, MAC address and WiFi network name).
All things considered, the Network Strength application provides you with a lightweight yet highly effective solution for keeping a close eye on your WiFi connection’s performance.
