Offers you the possibility to securely share digital content over the internet by using various transfer protocols, including the MassTransit Advanced Protocol. #File transfer #WAN network #Share files #WAN #Sharing #Transfer
MassTransit is an enterprise level file transfer system that can be used to quickly move documents between multiple locations, automatically, by using different types of protocols: FTP, HTTP, HTTPS or MTAP (MassTransit Advanced Protocol).
Setting up the MassTransit system can prove to be quite challenging: you must install the MassTransit Administrator app first and set up your own MassTransit server. Noteworthy is that you can do that only on a computer running the Windows operating system (the MassTransit Administrator is not available for Mac).
The MassTransit web client for Mac can only be used to connect to the MassTransit server via a web browser (Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome are supported). Keep in mind that the MassTransit server administrator must provide you with login credentials if you want to connect to the company server.
Once connected to the system, you can use the web interface to upload and download files, to request specific documents or to track your MassTransit activity by accessing the Log Viewer or the Reports area.
The MassTransit web client can be used to manage large data files (up to 100GB) and streamlines the transfer protocol. To make sure the information remains safe, the MassTransit transfers are in compliance with the HIPAA, GLBA and SOX standards.
The documents transferred by MassTransit do not have to be archived, which also reduces the processing time.
The MassTransit system can be used to share files at enterprise level, fast, by using various transfers protocols. The bad news is that you need to use at least one Windows computer to be able to set up the MassTransit server (the MassTransit Administrator app does not come with Mac OS X support).
MassTransit provides web access to the MassTransit server, making the service available from virtually any location, but the overall system seems to be slightly outdated and not precisely user friendly.
