Low-key and no-frills OS X bandwidth tracking application that makes it possible to track both your wireless and Ethernet Internet connections

editor's review

Apple’s OS X operating system features a powerful and highly customizable network preference panel which, unfortunately, does not provide its users with the means to track their Internet connection bandwidth.

Low-key and simple to use network info viewer

Bandwidth+ comes in to help you with this, allowing you to keep a close eye on your Mac’s Internet connection and to view a detailed diagram displaying your network connections’ downloads, uploads and speed.

The low-key Bandwidth+ utility keeps all of this info one click away, in your Mac’s menu bar and will enable you to quickly get a comprehensive and exact description of what’s going on with your bandwidth.

More importantly, Bandwidth+ needs zero configuration and it will automatically start sifting through your Mac’s network traffic right away.

Features an inbuilt traffic quota tracker and a daily network traffic log

In addition, you can setup a simple monthly quota tracker which can be easily configure to track only your uploads, your downloads or both of them if your Internet plan has a maximum quota on both of them.

Moreover, Bandwidth+ status bar menu helps you to effortlessly break up the traffic log, if you need to track your bandwidth using multiple daily segments. Each of your splits can also be undid using the “Undo Split” option.

User-friendly and inconspicuous network information monitor for your Mac

All things considered, Bandwidth+ is a very simple and inconspicuous Internet bandwidth monitoring utility which will stay out of your way, while keeping track of your connection in the background.
