    xvidenc description

    Free and open source shell script for encoding DVDs

    xvidenc is an advanced shell script for encoding DVDs or video files to the XviD format using the encoding utility MEncoder from MPlayer.

    xvidenc is a CLI front end to MEncoder and supports all the useful options that an end-user would need to make a successful encode.

    Requirements:

    · MPlayer

    · Don't append '- chapter [id]' to output filename when user encodes only specific DVD chapters
    · Change bad default bitrate value in DTS audio encoding to 384kbps.
