iTunes 8 introduced a new way to browse your music library, the grid view. In the grid view you can also browse your libary by genre and then iTunes displays a special image for the genres it knows.
The number of genres recognized by iTunes and receiving an appropriate genre artwork by default is limited though. Here comes the iTunes Genre Art Manager into play. It allows you to add images for genres for which iTunes does not bring its own art.
iTunes Genre Art Manager also allows you to modify existing genre artwork to your preference.
