Winamp for Mac0.8.1.13 Beta
Winamp is a well-designed and user-friendly media player that helps you load and listen to your music and playlists from within a simple and intuitive interface.
Minimalist-looking media player
From Winamp’s main window, you can easily access your library, organize your playlists and view your devices, search for music and adjust the sound volume. What is more, Winamp helps you sync your music with your Android device via WiFi without using an USB cable.
It is worth mentioning that your Android device need to have Winamp for Android installed and running in order to perform the synchronization process.
Moreover, Winamp is capable to automatically import and synchronize all your playlists from your iTunes. On top of that, you can edit, create and sync the same playlists using your Android handset. At the same time, the Winamp library is constantly synchronized with iTunes and the user definable Watch Folders. Music transfer from your Android device to your Mac is also possible.
Easily access your favorite playlists and songs
Winamp’s main window is divided into three different panels that provide you access to your libraries and playlist, audio tracks and play queue. Under the Play Queue panel, you can view the covert art of the currently played song.
Thanks to Winamp’s built-in search form, you can quickly and effortlessly filter the displayed songs as soon as you start typing. Winamp is also able to shuffle the tracks in any given playlist and repeat the entire list or just a single song.
Add tracks to playlists and organize your library
By right clicking on a song, you have the option to sent it to an existing playlists, reveal the file in the Finder, play it, remove it or add it to the queue list. As mentioned above, Winamp allows you to add multiple Watch Folders that you can use to feed the app with new songs and albums.
Winamp recently changed ownership and the websites is undergoing heavy work. Hopefully, the new owners will consider developing this project and add new features in the future.
