editor's review

Subtitle Studio is a well-designed and smooth-running Mac OS X application that provides the required tools to create, download, edit, synchronize and embed subtitles with ease.

Practical and easy-to-use subtitle downloader and editor for both novice and experienced users

Subtitle Studio comes with a user-oriented interface that allows you to view the subtitle together with the movie in order to make the editing and resynchronization easier for you.

What is more, Subtitle Studio enables you to search for subtitles over the web, on various specialized websites and download the subtitle you need with just a couple of mouse clicks.

If you already have a subtitle file, but it is out of sync or badly written, you can edit it and apply your changes directly from within Subtitle Studio’s main window.

Helps you write subtitles from scratch and embed them into iOS compatible videos

On top of that, Subtitle Studio helps you create a subtitle from scratch and embed it in your video before exporting the file to a location of your choice. Subtitle Studio comes with support for M4v, MOV, AVI, MKV and other popular video formats and, it is also capable to encode your file into the M4V file format.

Consequently, you can embed your subtitles into fully-optimized M4V files for your iPhone, IPad, iPod touch or Apple TV. At the same time you can save the edited subtitle as a SRT file and read subtitles from SUB, SRT, TXT and ZIP when grabbing subtitle via the internal subtitles search engine.

Support for multiple versions of the same subtitle

Moreover, you can create or add multiple languages or versions for the same subtitle in addition to adding and removing lines. The built-in media player helps you play and skim through the movie and fix out of sync lines.

Thanks to the search form located in the top right corner of Subtitle Studio, you can find a specific line and change its start point, duration and content.
