SoftSkies is an iTunes visualizer that can also be used as a screensaver, and brings animated cloudscapes to your desktop. The plug-in comes with multiple cloud designs, and gives you extended control over the scenery and over the cloud animation.

For your convenience, SoftSkies comes with an installer that takes care of the procedure on its own: simply follow the on screen instructions. The next step is to launch the iTunes app, and to select the SoftSkies visualizer from the appropriate View menu.

After all this, the next time you activate the iTunes visualizer panel, you will be able to view the SoftSkies animations. What’s more, you will also gain to access the customization options: you can change the sky type, the living images, or the formations type (the built-in themes are kept organized by categories)

Via the Sky Designer, you can make your own sky by setting up primary and secondary background colors, or the cloud color, shading, speed, direction, vapor level, and so on. SoftSkies allows you to set 5 different sky designs that can be accessed with a single mouse click.

The SoftSkies animated clouds can be viewed in full screen mode, which means that the plug-in can also be used as a screensaver, with or without the music playing. However, when a track is rendered, the animation is sensitive to the sound, and SoftSkies also displays the track information.
