MoviePanda is a beautiful Mac OS X application developed to help you browse a catalogue of over 15.000 movies, and download them by making use of a P2P database. As a result, you can easily find a movie that you like and watch it on your Mac in no time.

MoviePanda offers you the possibility to quickly see either popular or new movie releases: this way, you get to see the titles that raised most interest recently. Finding your way around is quite easy: the left panel provides a list with all categories, while on the right you get to visualize their content.

At the same time, the app also includes a movies browser that offers you the possibility to filter the titles by genre, people that worked to make them (actors, directors, writers), ratings, or release period.

To help you identify the films faster, MoviePanda uses the movie artwork as a thumbnail, but if you open the movie page, you can see extensive details about each entry. Besides the general info, such as the cast, rating, or synopsis, you will also have access to user reviews posted on the IMDB website.

Once you decide to download a movie, press the “Instant Stream” button and MoviePanda will start looking for peers and launch the download process. The videos will be placed in your Documents folder, and you will be able to visualize them by using your default media player.

MoviePanda automatically searches for movies available online and related metadata in order to provide accurate information for your movies catalogue. This way you get to learn everything it is to know about each title before actually downloading the movie.

The drawback is that the switch between the various sections of the application is delayed, so you have to wait until the app loads all the information.
