Watching movies in a foreign language can be challenging if you do not have subtitles, but finding the right titling for your film can also be a difficult task.

SubtitleManager is a Mac OS X application designed to help you view the content of subtitle files that come in various formats, adjust the line timing and export the file to other popular formats, such as SMI, SRT or SSA.

Working with SubtitleManager is fairly straightforward: in the main window you can view a list of the imported subtitle files and you must select an entry in that list to view its content in the bottom area of the main window.

You can also import folders that contain video files which will be added to the video list queue. As a result, if you want to preview the effects of your adjustments, SubtitleManager will automatically match the subtile file with the first video file that has the same name.

SubtitleManager is currently able to process a number of popular movie formats, such as M4V, MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, FLV, WMV, RMVB and M2TS.

SubtitleManager is able to open various subtitle file formats: SMI, SRT, XML (Lower 3rd, Final Cut Pro XML Interchange Format version 5), SUB (MicroDVD. - not “SubViewer”), TXT, SSA (SubStation Alpha v4.0) and .ASS (ASS: Advanced SubStation Alpha v4.00). The best part is that you can easily convert your subtitle files between these formats.

Last but not least, SubtitleManager offers you the possibility to quickly modify the text encoding settings for your subtitle files: this will help you get rid of characters that are not displayed correctly.

SubtitleManager provides an efficient solution for adjusting the timing in your subtitle files and converting them to a file format recognized by your media player of choice.

What's new in SubtitleManager 1.3.2:

  • Improved compatibility for ruby tag.
  • Improved parsing for ASS/SSA format.
