Camtasia is a flexible and handy screen recorder and video editor that provides the required tools and features to record and share high quality screencasts with ease.
Well-designed, powerful and flexible video recording and editing appWith Camtasia’s help, you can record your Mac’s on-screen activity along with the FaceTime video and sound from your Mac’s mic or third-party apps. As expected, you can manually select the screen recording area, camera and audio source with just a few mouse clicks.
Moreover, you can start and stop the recording process via Camtasia’s status bar menu or by using the pre-defined keyboard shortcuts. You can also import existing videos, music and photos that you can use in your screencast.
User-oriented interface and easy-to-use featuresThanks to the built-in video editor, you can remove unwanted parts, improve your video and use various ready-to-use themes, animated backgrounds, graphics, annotations, transitions, sound, video and cursor effects.
Camtasia features a clean and intuitive interface, similar to Apple’s iMovie app, from which you can easily access your footage, browse through Camtasia’s media library, preview transitions and effects before using them in your screencasts.
The great thing about Camtasia, is that you can apply multiple effect on a single video and remove them just as easily if you are not happy with the outcome. Furthermore, the SmartFocus feature enables you to draw attention to the important details in your video and get rid of unwanted distractions.
Use chroma key and place yourself in the videoWhat is more, you can integrate yourself in the video and take advantage of Camtasia’s support for chroma key. On top of that, you can use spotlight and Mask FX to cast light sources across your screencast.
Camtasia also helps you add sketch motion callouts, arrows, annotations, speech bubbles, shapes and other effects to obtain the desired effects. You can even record the video of your application in a simulator and demonstrate your app within a frame.
