Native MP4 Editing in Final Cut Pro - Calibrated{Q} MP4-EX Import is a QuickTime plug-in for NATIVE Importing and Playback of Sony XDCAM EX MP4 Files and JVCProHD HM700/HM100 MP4 Files within Final Cut Pro.

Finally you can enjoy the freedom of native MP4 editing in Final Cut Pro without the need for Logging and Encoding.

And if you somehow have only the MP4 file without the other corresponding files in the BPAV folder structure - don't worry, 'orphaned' MP4 files are supported too.

And you're not just limited to Final Cut Pro, you can also natively import files in Compressor, Motion, Sound Track Pro, QuickTime Player and Shake.
Auto-Save QuickTime Reference Movies

Once you setup auto-referencing with the Calibrated{Q} MP4-EX Options application, everytime you open a MP4 file from within QuickTime Player, you also save a QuickTime Reference Movie for that MP4 file so that you can work with your MP4 files in other 3rd party applications that support QuickTime.
Also works without Final Cut Pro

If you don't have Final Cut Pro - don't worry! You can still view supported MP4 Files within QuickTime Player as well as other QuickTime enabled applications when used in conjunction with Calibrated{Q} XD Decode for OSX.

Setting various options in Calibrated{Q} MP4-EX Import is easy by using the Calibrated{Q} MP4-EX Options application.

· Natively import MP4 files from JVCPro HD HM700/HM100 and Sony XDCAM EX cameras into Final Cut Studio 2 Apps and QuickTime Player.
· Audio, TimeCode and ReelName Support.
· QuickTime Pixel Aspect Ratio, Frame Type (Progressive or Upper) and Aperture Support.
· Supports MP4 files with or without BPAV folder structure.
· Flip Image for 35mm lenses.

Requirements:

· Direct import of of supported MP4 Files only for these Final Cut Studio 2 applications: Final Cut Pro, Compressor, Motion, Sound Track Pro and Shake.
· RealTime Playback in Final Cut Pro is dependent upon system.
· Final Cut Pro 6.0.2 or later.

Limitations:

· Only up to 30 seconds of the media will be shown or half the media if media is already less than 30 seconds.
