    SimplEquations description

Software for teaching and learning of linear equations with one unknown

SimplEquations is a tool designed for students to teach them how to identify significant figures and how to give answers correct to the required number of significant figures. Simple rules to help students remember better.

SimplEquations is capable of generating hundreds of sums for drills to ensure that the student masters the technique of solving different types of simple equations and inequalities. Equations and inequalities with decimals and fractions are included.

The user can choose the type of equations or inequalities he wishes to practice on. For example, if he has not learnt to handle equations with fractions, he can choose to practise on equations without fractions.
Software for teaching and learning of linear equations with one unknown. Tutorial with animation for easy understanding. Can generate hundreds of sums (up to 200 per session). Ideal for improvement through drills.

Users can select the level of difficulty and type of sums e.g. sums with fractions, decimals, etc. SimplEquations is able to mark automatically and print a detailed report once you have finished a session.

Here are some key features of "SimplEquations":

    · It allows two players to compete with each other on one computer, reducing the number of computers required for a class by half. Each player can do the sums at his own pace.
    · It prints two separate detailed reports, each showing the sums done by the individual player.
    · Equations with fractions are presented in easy to read text book style.

    Requirements:

    · PowerPC Macintosh, including G3, G4 & G5 (Runs on Intel Macs under Rosetta)
    · Macintosh Mac OS X 10.2 or higher, 5.3MB HD space, 28MB RAM
    · Macintosh Classic OS 8.1 - 9.2, 4.6MB HD space, 4MB RAM
    · Screen resolution 800 x 600 at 16 bits or better

What's New in This Release: [ read full changelog ]

    · Added a new module for learning and practising the solutions of inequalities
    · New tutorial for learning how to solve inequalities
    · Full range of sums on inequalities, including those with fractions and decimals
