SSPX is a free and feature-rich OS X inverse modeling program that enables you to calculate the best fitting deformation tensors.

You will need to specify a displacement or velocity vectors at a minimum of three points in two dimensions, or four points in three dimensions, and SSPX will calculate the deformation tensors.

SSPX is a great tool when working with small deformation problems, such as infinitesimal strain, as well as large deformation problems, such as finite straib.
