GiANT is a graphical interface for computer algebra systems (OS X/UNIX/Win) to help you work with number fields. GiANT is written in Java 1.4 and runs on top of the computer algebra system KASH 2.5.

GiANT dynamically provides the user with typeset information, diagrams, and drag-and-drop functionality. The result is a level of human-computer interaction which is difficult to achieve in a shell environment.

Algorithms for dedicated computer algebra systems have developed rapidly in recent decades. Nevertheless, user interfaces for these rich systems have traditionally focused on command-line interaction. GiANT, on the other hand, is a graphical user interface for computer algebra.

GiANT is cross-platform and has been designed to run on Mac OS X, UNIX, and Windows (untested).
