Genome Workbench is a free, advanced application intended to be used by researchers to analyze genetic data. As far as data sources go, the app can use both the NCBI databases and private data provided by the user.

In order to process and interpret the available data, Genome Workbench provides a large array of advanced, industry-standard alignment tools, such as BLAST, Kalign, Clustal, MAFFT, and more. The data can be viewed in many different ways, with the aim of providing additional insight.

The application’s interface consists of multiple panels, or views. These can be toggled on or off, depending on what you need for a certain project, and are designed to offer as much information as possible in one place.
