GO-Elite For Mac

GO-Elite is a software tool designed to identify a minimal non-redundant set of Gene Ontology (GO) biological terms or pathways to describe a particular set of genes.

Alternate ontologies (e.g., Disease Ontology), metabolomics data and gene sets and can also be used as input.

This tool calculates over-representation statistics similar to the PC program MAPPFinder and subsequently produces filtered GO and pathway results along with corresponding gene annotations and summarized expression data.

GO-Elite version 1 is provided as a stand-alone application for the Mac and PC and as cross-platform source code in python.

This software can be run using an intuitive graphical user interface, through command-line flags or by webservice. The webservice is accessible through a website, programmatically or using the GO-Elite plugin in Cytsoscape.
