    w2w description

w2w is a small program that lets you use iWeb more effectively without a .Mac account

w2w is a small program that lets you use iWeb more effectively without a .Mac account. To use it, publish your site from iWeb to a local folder. w2w will then detect which files have been changed and upload those via ftp to your web-server.

w2w is distributed as a freeware program without any guaranties.

When you start the application, you will see a screen showing a list of your sites and four buttons. The buttons will do exatly what you think, "+" will add a site, "-" remove the selected site, "Edit" opens up the edit panel, and "Upload" updates the site on the server.

In the edit panel, the "Name" is what w2w will call the entry and what you will see in the list. The "Folder" is the local folder containing your site and it is selected through browsing. The "Remote server" is the full url of your ftp-server (e.g. ftp.my_site.com, NOT ftp://ftp.my_site.com).

If you need to specify a port, you do that after a colon following the url (ftp.my_site.com:5192). "Remote username" and "password" don't need an explanation, and finally "Remote folder" is the folder on your server where your site resides. When you press "Upload" everything in the folder "Folder" will be updated in the folder "Remote folder".

Softpedia guarantees that w2w 0.98 is 100% CLEAN, which means it does not contain any form of malware, including spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors. [read more >]
