Cloud storage solutions are quite popular since they offer you the possibility to backup your data online while ensuring easy access from all your devices.

The pCloud Drive application provides support for the pCloud online storage service and includes syncing and encryption capabilities.

Of course, you can buy more storage space if you need to store larger quantities of data in the cloud. Even though pCloud comes with a data encryption feature, the  Crypto function has to be purchased separately.

pCloud Drive comes with its own installer package and is generally very easy to set up. Simply login using your account’s credentials and pCloud Drive will create a new virtual drive that you can manage through a Finder window.

The pCloud Drive status bar menu provides quick access to your pCloud Drive folder, offers details about the status of your storage space, and enables you to manage your synced or shared folders.

The sync function allows you to synchronize data stored in multiple folders while the share feature offers you the possibility to share entire directories with other users. Both tools can also be activated via the Finder contextual menu.

If you decide to activate the pCloud Crypto feature, the utility will create a new folder in the pCloud Drive directory, and all the files placed in there will be encrypted before uploading them to the cloud. This is very useful if you want to make sure your important files remain private.

To sum up, pCloud Drive provides most functions one would expect from a cloud synchronization solution, but also brings new things to the table, like the built-in encryption solution.
