Vienna For Mac

RSS or Atom feeds offer you the possibility to monitor the activity of a certain website or blog without actually navigating to the webpage.

Vienna is a Mac app that can grab the RSS entries, enables you to keep your subscriptions organized, and offers you the possibility to share articles on social media.

Noteworthy is that Vienna is capable to sync your subscriptions with an Open Reader server: as a result, you will have access to the information on various devices.

By default, Vienna is able to work with BazQux, FeedHQ, InoReader, and TheOldReader, but you can try the feature with any other service, as long as you can provide the server address and account credentials.

Working with Vienna is fairly intuitive due to its simple and organized design: the left side panel displays your subscriptions organized into folders, and you can view their content on the right.

The top toolbar provides buttons for basic functions, such as adding a RSS or refreshing your subscriptions, and for sharing the currently selected article on Bufferapp, Google+, Facebook, or Twitter (of course, you must login to your respective accounts beforehand).

Last but not least, Vienna comes with a search tool that can help you find entries that contain certain terms, and offers you the possibility to sort the entries by different criteria (unread, last refresh, today, last 48 hours, flagged, unread or flagged).

Vienna provides access to a collection of basic tools for managing RSS subscriptions, while offering a clean, organized and stylish environment for reading the articles.

Since Vienna can sync to Open Reader servers, you can take advantage of the syncing capabilities provided by such services, without having to compromise on efficiency.
