Xmarks for Safari For Mac

If you are using Safari as your default web browser on multiple devices, synchronizing your bookmarks database between them can be a hustle. Xmarks for Safari is a Mac app that integrates with Safari, and enables you to perform the synchronization effortlessly, by going through the Xmarks servers.

Xmarks for Safari is designed to be a browser add-on but acts slightly different than a “usual” Safari extension: you can tweak its performance via a System Preferences pane, and comes with a status bar menu that provides access to frequently used functions.

Last but not least, the archive also includes an uninstaller that should be used to correctly remove the application from your system.

For your convenience, the installer also launches the Setup Wizard designed to help you make all the necessary adjustments and perform the initial synchronization. Note that an Xmarks account is required: you can register for one free of charge.

When you sync your local bookmarks with your Xmarks account for the first time, Xmarks for Safari provides support for 3 synchronization methods: merge data on the server with the local database, keep the data on the server and discard the local URLs, or discard the data on the server and keep the local entries.
