Whatsie For Mac

The Whatsie OS X application is an open source project and has no affiliation with WhatsApp Inc. However, the utility does allow you to access the WhatsApp Web service without having to employ a web browser.

To start using the Whatsie application, you must use the WhatsApp for mobile utility installed on your phone to scan the QR code generated by the web service.

Note that only certain phones can be used with WhatsApp Web: Android phones, Windows Phone, BlackBerry models (including BlackBerry 10), and the Nokia S40 and S60 models.

The desktop application will automatically connect to the Whatsie account active on the mobile device, and you must preserve the connection to be able to use the service.

Within the Whatsie's main window, you can view your current conversations, send instant messages, and receive content from other users.

Whatsie allows you to continue old conversations, or you can easily start new ones. Moreover, the simple search tool allows you to find contacts or old messages in no time.

The best part is that the Whatsie utility offers you the possibility to share image or video files with simple drag and drop actions.

The Whatsie app automatically recognizes you are trying to share a media file and starts the upload process in no time. If you are feeding an unsupported file format, you will simply receive a notification.
