VimDownloader For Mac

VimDownloader is a minimalist yet stylish Mac app that enables you to quickly download videos hosted on the Vimeo website. However, keep in mind that VimDownloader works only for freely available content: you cannot use it to download “on demand” videos.

Thank’s to its intuitive user interface, finding your way around the VimDownloader utility is quite straightforward: the top toolbar provides buttons for frequently used tools and includes the video URL, while the main area is reserved for browsing the Vimeo website.

Note that to actually start the download process you must provide a valid Vimeo URL: an address that contains a single video, and is not marked as “on demand” content. You can easily monitor the download progress via a small panel that will appear on the right side of the  VimDownloader main window.

VimDownloader can handle a single download per window, but enables you to open as many different windows as you want. The app does not come with bandwidth usage limits, but if you encounter any issues, each separate download can be either canceled or paused.

When you choose to save a video to your disk, you can easily select the preferred downloading quality: HD, standard, or low. VimDownloader generates MP4 files, which means that you can easily watch them on other Apple devices, like your iPhone or iPad.

VimDownloader offers you the possibility to save video files shared via the Vimeo website  to your disk, so you can watch them even if you do not have an active internet connection. The app comes with a very straightforward workflow, which makes it easy to use even by inexperienced users.
