    Universal Edit Button description

Firefox add-on that indicates if a webpage is editable or not

The Universal Edit Button is a green pencil icon wiki.png in the address bar that indicates a web page is editable. It is similar to the orange "broadcast" RSS icon ExampleRSS.png that indicates there is an RSS feed available.

Using this extension, an icon will a appear in the address bar (similar to the RSS auto-discovery button) when you visit a wiki website that allows you to edit the page.

Universal Edit Button currently works on Wikipedia, AboutUs.com, wikiHow and also on most of the major wikis including MediaWiki, DokuWiki, TWiki, PHPWiki, MoinMoin and many more.

The Universal Edit Button extension creates the Auto-discovery button for wiki websites.

The Universal Edit Button add-on is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.

    Requirements:

    · Firefox 2.0 and later
