TweetDeck for Mac
Designed to provide a better communication solution, TweetDeck is the Twitter vetted desktop client that should be used to manage your Twitter account from your Mac.
To actually use TweetDeck you need to register free of charge for a TweetDeck account (you can easily create an account within the app).
Note that you will not be able to login using your Twitter credentials: within the TweetDeck account you will have to associate one or multiple Twitter accounts. As a result, you are able to manage multiple accounts at the same time, using the same interface.
The TweetDeck main window is quite organized and straightforward: the left sidebar provides access to most features, while the rest of the window displays columns with your feeds or activity. You are able to add as many columns as you like.
Via the Preferences window you can quickly change the interface theme and the column and font size. Further customizations include the possibility to view the tweets in real time or not, to disable notifications or to change the link shortening service (Twitter or Bit.ly).
Thanks to the powerful filtering capabilities, you can use TweetDeck to focus on specific subjects and view only what interests you. At the same time, you can schedule tweets to make sure your audience is entertained.
TweetDeck is focused on meeting the needs of power users that have to keep track of multiple, real-time conversations, conducted from different accounts, at the same time. The app can also be used to quickly post tweets, share images or links and much more.
