Drag’n’drop file sharing
The workflow consists of just dragging and dropping the file(s) you want to share to the app’s menu bar icon or by clicking on the icon and selecting the “Choose a File…” option.
After this, the app will open a panel that enables you to pick the link type: one that is automatically destroyed after one download or another that deletes itself after exactly 48 hours.
Automatically archives multiple files
Furthermore, you are allowed to upload a single file or multiple files. In the second case, the files are automatically archived into a ZIP file before being uploaded to the cloud. Also, there is a 35 MB file size limit in the Free version and 250 MB in the Pro version.
After selecting the link type, Torpedo creates a unique link and copies it to your clipboard, which makes it a breeze to paste it anywhere and share it with anyone. When that person receives the link, he / she only needs a web browser to open your file.
Upload history and management
Another benefit of using Torpedo is that it offers support for a web version that enables you to share files when you are not at your computer and to access all uploaded files. Once you access the web app, you can easily share, download or delete uploaded data.
Straightforward cloud-based file sharing
In a nutshell, Torpedo is a seamless Mac OS X application that makes it super easy to share files over the web. The app comes with both a limited Free account and a Pro account and automatically handles the links for you.
