TweeQuilla is a Thunderbird add-on that allows you to add Twitter status feeds as folders under Thunderbird.
Today, Twitter provides much of the functionality that used to be provided by RSS feeds.
The TweeQuilla add-on adds to Thunderbird the ability to see TweeQuilla updates as items appearing in a folder, just like messages or RSS feeds.
TweeQuilla is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
Here are some key features of "TweeQuilla":
· Embedded web links are opened automatically
· A Thunderbird "reply" becomes a Twitter "reply"; a Thunderbird "Forward" becomes a Twitter "Retweet"
· Standard Twitter feeds that appears as folders are: My Tweets, Mentions, My Lists, My Searches, Retweeted by Me, Retweets of me, and the default Timeline.
· Multiple Twitter accounts are supported, so you could easily have one twitter account for personal messages, and another for a work-related function.
Requirements:
· Thunderbird 7.0 and later
· Twitter account
